Decaying 'Bombweed', or Rosebay Willowherb (Chamerion augustifolium), painted in watercolour on Fabriano Artistico 640gsm hot pressed paper. This wildflower thrives in deprived conditions and earned the name Bombweed after it popped up in bomb craters in London during World War 2. It looks glorious in decay on a frosty morning.

£2000 (As exhibited.)
