‘She will never love you’ is a painting about coming to what now appears to be a painfully obvious conclusion after the loss of someone important to me. This is a painting about working through this realisation and coming to a place of acceptance. The use of warm and cool lighting on the face highlights the ups and downs of what felt to be a really complicated and confusing relationship.
