‘Albion night' draw inspiration from moments of "dead time" such as traffic jams or commuting. I’m using the journey as a metaphor, with vehicles pushing through urban streets. The work reflects that sense of isolation and solitude that often accompanies these journeys, while also conveying the underlying stress and complexity of our relationship with time and acceleration society. As individuals we often feel rushed and pressed for time. Embedded within this work is a poignant reflection on the universal struggle against time poverty. We find ourselves perpetually caught in the throes of haste, juggling the demands of work, family, and leisure. This personal narrative intersects with broader societal challenges, particularly resonating with the experiences of working parents who grapple with the delicate balance of time allocation.
