I work in mixed media, hand painting my papers in acrylic paint and then cutting or tearing the papers to create collage artworks, inspired by city and urban landscapes. This painting, A Little Piece of London was inspired by a view of Regent Street in London. I have simplified my subject into shapes and patterns of contrasting colour, tilting the perspective in order to find another version of the place which is edited and energised.

I work in mixed media, hand painting my papers in acrylic paint and then cutting or tearing the papers to create collage artworks, inspired by city and urban landscapes. This painting, Charing Cross Station was inspired by a view of Charing Cross Station in London. I was interested in showing all the layers of life in London. I simplified my subject into shapes and patterns of contrasting colour, tilting the perspective in order to find another version of the place which is edited and energised.
